Omnipossible, a dynamic web media production company, values programmers who can adapt, go outside their comfort zone, and meet challenges with ingenuity. This is not a data entry job; you'll be working side-by-side with professional web designers and programmers to create web-based applications and services. You must be willing to meet deadlines, learn new skills, and find creative solutions.

In this internship, you will have the chance to learn about a broad spectrum of programming while focusing on specific goals. Under the guidance of experienced programmers, you will have the unique opportunity to work on both client projects as well as original media. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to contribute solutions and original ideas as a member of development teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development phase of web projects
  • Program web layouts based on graphic designs
  • Program Server-Side and Client-Side Scripts
  • Create and utilize databases (not data entry)
  • Customize and implement in-house and open-source scripts and applications
Requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • Creative and strategic thinker
  • Experience with HTML/CSS
  • Experience with PHP
    (Or a desire to learn PHP and experience with C++, C , Java or another language that employs variables, loops, decision points, data manipulation, and basic Object-Oriented Programming)
  • Basic experience with Javascript or ActionScript
  • Knowledge of SQL, Perl, Python, Flash (ActionScript), Java or C is a plus
  • Knowledge of Illustrator/Photoshop is a plus
  • Applicants should be able to devote 10-20 hours a week and be available for phone contact during normal business hours

Compensation

  • To be determined, based on experience. Interns will receive a monthly stipend.
  • Based on performance, Interns may be offered bonuses or a freelance or salaried position
  • Interns can work from home and set their own hours
  • We will help you to fulfill your school's requirements for class credit, if applicable. However, managing the process is your responsibility
