Omnipossible, a dynamic web media production company, is looking for Content Editor Interns to assist in creating, sourcing, and developing content for two websites: Theatre-Inc and Relationship Memory. In addition to these tasks, Content Editor Interns will have the opportunity to suggest and implement ideas for improving website content, pitch content ideas, and contribute articles for publication.

Theatre-Inc.com - Theatre-Inc is a free resource used by Theatre Professionals to find the products and services they need to create Theatre Productions. In addition to its many business services, Theatre-Inc is also developing informational resources and entertaining content for all Theatre Professionals. This includes instructional articles, real-life stories, editorials, and a blog.

RelationshipMemory.com - Relationship Memory is a new type of website, dedicated exclusively to couples. Relationship Memory provides couples with a private space to keep their memories, dates, desires, and everything else. Relationship Memory also incorporates social networking elements, like Flirts sent between partners, a forum community, and couple matching that lets couples find other couples in their area with similar interests. In addition, Relationship Memory hosts LoveMEdia, a section of the website that features articles, poetry, art and multimedia content like photos, games, videos - all inspired by being in love, about love, or staying in love. Additionally, a blog will provide updates and commentary about the site and relevant subjects.

Responsibilities

  • Edit articles for grammar, coherency, and flow
  • Research and source content online
  • Assist in negotiating article reprints and attract new authors
  • Assist in overseeing the website community and respond to content suggestions
  • Brainstorm ideas for improving website content, presentation, and delivery
Requirements
  • Fluency in English
  • All majors are welcome, however majoring in or experience in an English, Communications, Journalism or other related field is a plus
  • Applicants should be able to devote 10-20 hours a week and be available for phone contact during normal business hours
  • No programming skills are necessary, basic XHTML/CSS techniques for formatting text will be taught
Compensation
  • This is an unpaid internship
  • Interns can work from home and set their own hours
  • We will help you to fulfill your school's requirements for class credit, if applicable. However, managing the process is your responsibility
